Podcast
I think using podcast would be very useful in the classroom. You could use them for basically anything. If you have some sort of class website you could post your pod casts on them for both students and parents to listen to. In my TE 348 class last year we used podcasts every class. The professor would record everything he lectured about in class and then gave the microphone to an individual table during a specific exercise so we could record our group discussions. He later put the podcasts up on the ANGEL website so we could have access to them. I am not exactly sure how I would use a podcast in my classroom at the moment but I know I will definitely try and use them. For one they are extremely simple to use, all you do is record something, upload it online and then you can share it with whomever you want. You could use a podcast in your classroom to record a read aloud exercise that your students did, you could record a math lesson, a science lesson, spelling words, a play your students put on in the classroom, a poem or specific song you helped teach your class. Then you could upload the recording to your website or class blog, or class wiki or whatever online tool you are choosing to use and share it with the students parents, siblings, other teachers in your building, or whoever. I think podcasts are a great tool that are simple to use and could be very helpful in any classroom.

I think that's really cool that you used a podcast in your TE 348 class. I wish my class would do that so I could see a podcast at work in a classroom. I agree with what you said about not really knowing about how you would use a podcast in your classroom. I don't really know how I would use one either, but I think that there are definitely many possibilities. It was really easy for me to make my own podcast in class, so I imagine that it would be pretty easy to make one to use in the classroom as well!
